The Mini Buffet with Hutch continued
Well now, after part 1 of the build was posted, I began working on part 2, this was intended to be a 2 part video project, or so I thought.
During the editing of the video, I realized I had two and a half hours of footage. Which as you know, is way to long for a Youtube video. So therefore, Part 2 ended up becoming Parts, 2, 3, 4, 5..lol
This has been a fun project to build for you, and I truly hope you try to build on for yourself. It's a great skill builder.
The plans for the project are available at The Newfoundland Woodworker's website , on their "Free Plans" page.
We will be begin with Part 2 and as you scroll down the page the other videos will be there for you to view.
I hope you enjoy! Happy Woodworking everyone!
How to build a mini Buffet with Hutch
Hey guys and Gals, it has been a while since I have posted a project video. Things at the shop have gotten busy (which is a good thing) The ASDOO Music Cajon Drum line is doing well. There is a local music store here in Ocala interested in carrying the line.
I want to thank you all for your patience and understanding. I have a great
weekend project for you. This time I am building a mini buffet with hutch.
This mini Buffet with hutch was courtesy of The Newfoundland Woodworker and the free plans are available on thier website.
In this video, I go through the plans, explain the process and also give you some insight on different options when it comes to the joinery and overall outcome of the project.
This is Part 1 of 2 of the videos for the build. I hope you enjoy.
A small note: I am testing a new microphone in this video, so I do apologize about the sound variances. It will take me a while to get used to the settings to get the perfect outcome.
Drumroll Please
Exciting things are happening at the shop. A Simple Design of Ocala, Inc. (ASDOO) is proud to present it's newest division
I have been looking for a project that I could focus a majority of the company on. Along with the Video projects, and custom builds, the company will be making Custom Cajon Drums.
Now if you not familiar with the Cajon, essentially Cajon means box. A Cajón is a box-shaped percussion instrument originally from Peru, played by slapping the front face (generally thin plywood) with the hands
These drums are outstanding, fun to play and can produce a beautiful sound.
ASDOO Music drums are made with solid wood framed construction and built to withstand a lot of playtime and abuse. contain a top of the line PureSound Snare and the ability to disengage the snare if disired. The snare tension is adjustable to achieve the sound you desire.
Recently I took one of the Cajon's to a local music store to be played and brought to life. The guys looked it over, and were most pleased. as they were giving the drum the "once over" I took advantage of the moment and shot a short video to share with you.
If you have ever considered learning an instrument, the Cajon is a great place to start. Have you ever been driving down the road and your favorite song comes on the radio and you start tapping the steering wheel or turn your dashboard into a full drum set? Well then you are off to a good start, you dont have to be a pro to play the Cajon, and it is great for all skill levels.
Here is a look at an ASDOO Cajon being played. And the reaction of the musicians.
We are taking order's for Custom Cajon's now. and shortly there will be a few models available on the store page.
